Environmental Education
The "Environmental Education" value-added course, coded ENVS-VA-1, is a comprehensive 4-credit program designed to enhance students' understanding and awareness of environmental issues. This course aims to instill a sense of responsibility towards maintaining a sustainable environment by covering a wide range of topics related to ecological balance, conservation practices, and the impact of human activities on nature. With a total of 50 marks allocated for evaluation, including 40 for the main assessment and an additional 10 for active participation, this course encourages students to engage actively in learning and discussions. It is an essential program for those looking to expand their knowledge on environmental conservation and develop skills to contribute effectively to the field of environmental science.
Course Outcomes (COs) for the "Environmental Education" course (ENVS-VA-1) :
**CO1:** Understand Environmental Basics - Students will gain a foundational understanding of environmental science, including ecosystems, biodiversity, and the natural cycles that maintain life on Earth.
**CO2:** Recognize Environmental Issues - Learners will be able to identify and analyze major environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity, understanding their causes and effects.
**CO3:** Evaluate Human Impact - Students will assess the impact of human activities on the environment, understanding the role of population growth, industrialization, and consumption patterns in environmental degradation.
