Now a day’s Information Technology has been one of the major factors that playing a vital role in developing every part of the society. The Library as a part of the society also played a crucial role for future development and build up better knowledgeable society. So, immediate automation of the Library Services is a great demand of modern society. In an automated libraries administration, resource acquisition, circulation, serial control, cataloging is done through the use of computer technology. In this regard the idea of automation of Central Library of the Mahavidyalaya was first initiated by Dr.  Sanat Kumar Biswas, the present Librarian of the Mahavidyalaya after his joining in April 2010. And the Library has procured SOUL 2.0 (Software for University Libraries) developed by INFLIBNET Centre Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The library has already completed to create database of books, journals and members also. Now the library trying to provide OPAC services to the users. The authority of the Mahavidyalaya also helped for doing the job by provide 11 computers, one  server PC, one Laptop , three three-in-one Printer, three Barcode Scanner, one Xerox Machine and one LED TV set for fulfill the legitimate demands of the library automation.
