From the Desk of Associate NCC Officer:
Sudhiranjan Lahiri Mahavidyalaya's National Cadet Corps has a rich and illustrious past. It began its journey in 1965–1966 by establishing a unit to demonstrate its involvement in the process of community development and to instill in the students a sense of service to society. In order to meet the growing demand from the student body for participation in social work, one more unit must be opened in the upcoming time. It has left its mark in a variety of fields from beginning. But during the past five years, both its level of activity and its structural orientation have changed. There is only one NCC unit at our institution. The creation of physical assets on the college campus has been the main focus of NCC work for the past five years. During 2018–23, our 40 Cadets took part in NCC events at the state and national levels, including National Integration Camp, Adventure Camp, Republic Day Camp, and the National Youth Festival. Over the past five years, our Cadet Rahul Biswas, Nilanjan Sarkar, Dipayan Barman, Mangaldip Barman, and Barnali Sarkar have all taken part in the RD Parade in New Delhi.
