- Admissions Policy: Government-aided colleges follow the admission guidelines set by the respective affiliating university (University of Kalyani) and higher education department, government of West Bengal. This includes criteria for eligibility, reservation policies, and admission procedures.
- Fee Structure: The fee structure for government-aided colleges is regulated by the state government and is generally more affordable compared to private institutions. However, colleges may have certain components of fees for which students are liable to pay.

The West Bengal College Service Commission is the recommending authority for appointment of the faculty.

According to UGC norms and State Government guidelines college has set up various committee to maintain campus discipline strictly.
- Governance Structure: Government-aided colleges typically have a governing body as per state government norms which is highly responsible for decision-making and oversight. The composition and functions of this body are defined by the state government.
- Reservations and Quotas: Government-aided colleges implement reservation policies as per the directives of the state government. This includes reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and economically weaker sections (EWS), as well as horizontal reservations for persons with disabilities (PWD) and other categories.
- Compliance and Reporting: Colleges are required to comply with various statutory requirements and submit reports to regulatory bodies as mandated. This includes compliance with UGC regulations, NAAC accreditation norms, and other statutory obligations.
